What kinds of beneficial effects are we talking about?
In a study involving 75 healthy women, the 30-minute mud treatment was well tolerated; a temporary moisturizing effect was observed, which was influenced by the moisturizing ingredients in the formulation. In another four-week study, no significant overall improvement in hydration was found, and the effects of the various formulations differed.
